betelnut beauties are a class of workers in taiwan. they are, at the bottom line, sexy vendors. i've never been to taiwan, so i'm all late up on this. someone compared these women to "ganguro girls" of japan, but no. this is actually a profession...not some random teen living in tokyo who got carrried away with some panda eyeliner. i hope it's safe for women to be working at these rest stops and all...if you look at some of the photos...the neon glass kiosks look so out of place between the desolate off roads! anyway, the safety issue, that's another google search.
