there is a man who dedicates his time rating country maps, using methods to translate aesthetics for us mere plebians. categories include "good color", "bad shape", and my fave, "too many stars."

however, the ratings are admittedly subjective, and there are definite biases coming into play. i like the vatican's flag, which received a failing grade:


i mean, it reminds me of a fancy lady drinking lillet from some tiny apertif glass.
i'm just sayin, tho; i'm not opposed.
