Encounters at the End of the World
If you take a camera to a naturally picturesque landscape, are you necessarily making something worth distributing? All that I take away from this experience is that all the unattached waywards of the world end up at the South Pole. Do I just not understand Werner Herzog? Did I miss the point?
Maybe.
Aside from the wonderment created in what I possibly didn't see, an otherwise unremarkable film that hones in on some kind of strange, self-involved director's journey (most evident when he interviews the one penguin expert.)
